UNAUTHORISED ONGOING MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION
The attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been drawn to a purported ongoing registration of our members in some State Chapters of our Party without the knowledge, consent and approval of the leadership of the Party.
The NWC wishes to state categorically that the Party did not authorize any individual and or organization to conduct any membership registration of its members under any guise.
The PDP is a Party of due process, and one that is governed and guided by its Constitution, which prescribes that 30 days before Congresses, all Ward registers must be closed, (see Section 8(10). Therefore, it is illegal and unconstitutional to register members while congresses are on-going.
All State Chairmen are therefore, by this correspondence, mandated to take firm control and maintain strict supervision of our Party’s membership, issuance of valid Membership Cards, and Ward Registers.
All Membership Cards whose origin cannot be established/verified is therefore suspected to be forged.
The Party will formally issue appropriate notices on membership registration to all State Chapters in line with its Program of Activities.
All stakeholders and Party faithful are therefore advised to shun and report any illegal registration activities to the appropriate authorities.

ADAMAWA TO BENEFIT FROM FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION PROGRAM AS GOVERNOR FINTIRI VISITS MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state says his administration will not hesitate in supporting innovations for more efficient and sustainable agricultural production to enhance food security, incomes, and nutrition that benefit small-scale farmers.
Governor Fintiri revealed this during a visit to the Minister of Agriculture Sabo Nanono In Abuja.
The Governor raised concerns over the neglect of the state reeling from almost a decade long insurgency and appealed for the ministry’s intervention in boosting the Agriculture potential of Adamawa state.
He asked that Adamawa be enlisted amongst states to benefit from its appeals pilot project to cover 12 states of Nigeria.
Responding, the Minister of Agriculture Sabo Nanono obliged the Governors request guaranteeing that Adamawa will be included among the 12 states.
He acknowledged the abundance of livestock potential in the state promising to explore it.
He revealed that the Federal Government is committed towards developing the critical Agricultural sector and very soon will embark on a deliberate revolution that will turn around the fortunes of the country.
He said government is to undertake Agricultural mechanization across Local Government councils of Nigeria where local farmers are expected to invest about 7 million naira and get over one hundred million assistance towards large scale Agriculture development with a repayment period of 7 years.
Sabo Nanono disclosed that each beneficiary local government will get 10 Tractors, but was quick to appeal to states to sensitize and identify those to invest in the over 140 service centers across Nigeria.
He said the initiative will contribute to the development of improved market access and agricultural value chains for small-scale holders.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri also received briefings from the Niger Delta Power Holding Company established to fill in the gap of power distribution in Nigeria.
The company is to add value to the power challenge of Adamawa by providing a power sub station to service Gulak Michika as well as another one along the popular Army Barracks road in the capital city.

GOV. AHMADU UMARU FINTIRI APPROVES IMPLEMENTATION OF CONSEQUENTIAL ADJUSTMENTS TO SENIOR WORKERS IN ADAMAWA
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the details for the implementation of the minimum wage for the state civil servants with effect from first November twenty nineteen.
The approval followed series of negoations on consequencial salary adjustment for workers on grades levels seven to seventeen.
Speaking during the signing ceremony held in the conference Hall ministry of water resources Yola,the head of civil service, Adamawa state Doctor Edgar Amos who is also the chairman of Government delegation commanded Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for demonstrating concern on the welfare of civil servants in the state.
He said the agreement covered workers in all ministries, department, agencies and parastatals as well as local Government, primary healthcare and Local Government education authories except for those on special salary structure as passed by the state house of Assembly and assented to by the Governor.
The head of civil service further explained that the area's arising from the consequential adjustment as it benefit workers on grade levels seven and above shall take effect from first January twenty twenty.
In his remark,the federal controller, ministry of labour in the state,Aliyu Musa Hamid and the chairman of the Nigeria labour Congress,NLC Adamawa state chapter,Comrade Emmanuel Fashe commended the state Government for approving the implementation of the minimum wage without allowing the issue to lead to industrial conflict.
Also speaking of the Chairman of the state negotiation council labour side, Comrade Mohammed Tukur and the trade Union Congress Chairman in the state ,Comrade Nasir Babale urged both sides to honour the agreement and no person shou be victimized as a result of participation in the struggle.
They further urged Government to as a matter of urgency review the pension rate for retires in compliance with the federal government circular to that effect.
The agreement was signed by Government and labour Representatives including the Representatives of the federal ministry of labour,the state ministry of justice, state ministry of finance, Local Governments,the Chairman of NLC,TUC and Chairman joints public service Negotiation council.
