AB HASKE FOUNDATION DONATES CASH TO VICTIMS OF JADA WINDSTORM



NGO Donates cash to victims of Jada windstorm

A nongovernmental organization, A.B Haske Foundation has presented a cash donation of sums of undisclosed money to Victims of recent wind storm disaster in Jada, the headquarters of Jada local government.

The cash donation was given individually to victims including the District Head of Jada, Alhaji Umaru Muhammad Ardo based on the level of destruction.

Flagging off the presentation at the palace of the District Head Jada, the National Chairman of the Foundation Mr. Charles S. Bansi said the Foundation had decided to give its widow mite to the victims.

The National Chairman maintained that the money will not be enough to rebuild the destroyed structures of over two hundred victims but will cushion the effects of the disaster.He revealed that the foundation was established to assist orphans, widows, and vulnerable as well as scholarships for indigent students.

Mr. Bansi stressed that the foundation has no political, religious, or tribal inclination charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of money in rebuilding their destroyed structures.

He also stated that a committee was set up in Jada which assess the level of destruction and came up with the amount due to each beneficiary.

Responding, the District Head of Jada who is also the Mukaddas Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Muhammadu Ardo thanked the founder, Alhaji Abdullahi Bashir for coming to the aid of the victims and pray Allah to replenish him. The District Head said the victims of the disaster have considered the calamity as an act of God as no life was lost, only a few people sustained minor injuries.

He charged the officials of the foundation to uphold trust and confidence repose on them by the founder by being honest and do justice in the discharge of their duties.

In his remark, the representative of the donor, Alhaji Ishaku Aliyu said the money is not compensation, but to assist the victims towards rebuilding their structures.
Some of the beneficiaries spoke to, thanked the donor for the humanitarian gesture.
