FINTIRI FLAGS OFF DISTRIBUTION OF PPE, ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES TO OVER 403 HEALTH FACILITIES, INSTITUTIONS



Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has flagged off distribution of personal protection equipment PPE and essential supplies to over four hundred and three Health Facilities and Institutions in the state.

The items distributed include Foot operated hand washing stations, wheelchairs, non contact infrared thermometers, hand sanitizers, ventilators, sphygmomanometer, blood pressure monitors, and privacy screens.

The equipment were provided by the state government in partnership with the United Nation International Children Education Fund UNICEF, United States Government Funded Projects among other development partners.

In his address at the occasion that held at the premises of state Primary Healthcare Development Agency in Yola on Wednesday Governor Umaru Fintiri thanked the donor agencies who are complementing the work of government in the healthcare sector.

He advised all local government chairmen, partners and all stakeholders to key into this initiative and provide at least one functional primary healthcare facility per political ward with twenty four hour capacity service, seven days a week.

The Governor revealed that his administration has begun the process of rehabilitating many primary healthcare facilities, hospitals and has approved recruitment of mor technical workers by the Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency. 

He added that teams have been dispatched to all the twenty one local government areas to reassess the readiness of primary healthcare facilities for the smooth implementation of the basic healthcare provision fund BHCPF initiative in Adamawa and develop the required strategic plans.

He stressed that his administration is ready to do everything within available resources to reposition the health sector and urged people to access these services that are designed especially for women, children, the elderly, orphans and the vulnerable.

In his remark, the Commissioner of Health and Human Services Professor Abdullahi Isa described provision of the items as timely as Adamawa has so far recorded one seventy six cases of Covid-19 as a result community transmission in urban centres.

Professor Isa revealed that Yola North has the highest cases of eighty seven, followed by Yola South with forty seven and Girei having fifteen while urging the development partners to maintain the momentum of assisting the state to overcome the menace of contentious diseases in the state.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Doctor Suleiman Saidu Bashir said the items were provided in response to the threat pose by Covid-19 in the state.

Former CG, Nig.Custom service, HammanBello Ahmed Kojoli, OFR commiserates With Gangwari Ganye and Haj.Hauwa Koma over death of District Head of Koma.





The Former Comptroller General of Nigeria Customer Service, Founder Kojoli farms Limited, Alhaji HammanBello Ahmed OFR, Has Commiserates with His Royal Highness Alhaji Umar Adamu Sanda OON, Gangwari Ganye over the demise of the District Head of Koma, Alhaji Hamman Jalo.

HammanBello Ahmed Kojoli,OFR has expressed deep to Adamawa State APC Women Leader, Hajiya Hauwa koma over the death of har father,  Alhaji Hamman Jalo the district head of Koma.

The late district head died last Saturday at the age of 97 after a brief illness.


Hammanjalo who is one of the oldest traditional rulers in the history of the state, served as district head of Koma in Jada local government for 47 years.

Commiserating with the people of Jada local government and Adamawa State, Hamman Kojoli said the death of the traditional ruler has left a gaping cleavage that will be difficult to fill.

He said the state will sorely miss the wisdom of the revered leader who has ensured peaceful coexistence between the diverse people of his domain.

HammanBello Ahmed Kojoli who said he was personally touched by the demise of the late traditional ruler said he took solace knowing that the late district head has served God and humanity diligently while alive.

” The late district head is a father to all, a lover of peace and an uncommon traditional ruler whose tenacity to the course of justice and fair play ensured everlasting peace between the diverse peoples.

” In his death, Adamawa State has lost a rare gem whose sterling contribution towards the betterment of humanity is phenomenal.

“May his gentle soul rest in Jannatul Firdaus,” HammanBello Kojoli said
