Adamawa-born philanthropist Hamisu Idris Medugu (Sardauna Duhu) has made a significant contribution of ₦1.5 million to support victims of recent flooding in Konkol Community, Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The donation, made through a delegation, was presented to the affected individuals in an emotionally charged ceremony.
The Delegation, led by Hon Wokeri Filibus included notable figures such as the APC Chairman of Maiha, Alhaji Musa Isa the Secretaries of APC in Mubi North and Mubi South, as well as other key stakeholders from the northern zone of Adamawa State.
Hon Filibus explained that while Hamisu Medugu wished to be present in person, his tight schedule necessitated the use of a representative team.
He Further conveyed Medugu's sentiments, urging the community to view their losses as a test from God and to maintain faith in divine wisdom, with a call on the government and other well-meaning individuals to offer further assistance.
The Ardo Konkol, Alhaji Halilu Ibrahim Bello representing the local community, expressed profound gratitude for the philanthropic gesture.
The Royal Father assured that the funds would be judiciously distributed to those most in need, underscoring the significant impact of Medugu's support.
Community members, when speaking with journalists, expressed deep appreciation for Medugu's timely intervention.
They remarked that his contribution has brought much-needed relief and hope amidst the hardships caused by the recent floods, which had devastated homes, shops, and farmland, leaving many displaced.
Prayers were offered to Hamisu Idris Medugu for his timely intervention and contribution that will help to ease the sufferings faced by the people of Konkol Community.
