RE-Defection Of Hon. Rufai Gombi's Group From ADC To PDP And The Reaction Of Cmmander And His Supporters
-------------------------------------------------------------
The last time when Commander and his entourage have visited Gov. Fintiri we condemned it vehemently because of the political differences we had especially during the 2019 general elections but not because that visit was not significant to the good people of Adamawa and you can't denied the fact that Sen. Nyako and Gov. Fintiri Need each other at this time around.
After that visit Cmmander granted an interview I think with ABC Yola where he urged the good people of Adamawa to come together and support Gov. Fintiri saying that Adamawa will not coninuesly fighting each Government of the day and he advised politicians' to allow Gov. Fintiri to Govern peacefully in order to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of our dear state.
But Yesterday, things has fallen apart after Gov. Fintiri received some ADC members to PDP but wait a minute, the last time when PDP received Hon. Rufai Gombi at his home town the same Commander has kept silent about it but why that of yesterday? Is like something wrong somewhere and its best known to both Fintiri-PDP/Aziz-ADC because before Commander paid that visit I believe they have discussed alot of political issues and even after and they may have agreed upon.
But as a loyalt PDP member and the Loyalt Supporter to Gov. Fintiri I am not happy with what has happened yesterday between these significant people in Adamawa Politics even though it's maybe a calculated move by Hon Rufai Gombi to upset Commander because of the Political differences they had during their time in ADC and maybe Gov. Fintiri was not expecting the move will bring issues the way it's boiling-hot and trending on social media platforms.
Moreover, Most of those who are celebrating "PDP WOULD HEAR FROM US" are APC members who have called Commander with Unprintable names just because he brought a new party to enable him to maintain his followers by using the plartform to contest elections at any level of which they (Supporters) enjoyed and survived Politically but the same APC members that mocked Commander are the one who are pleading with him to return back to the party that betrayed his Father, Vice Admiral Murtala H/Nyako Likewise the Commander himself because we all Know very well that if not because of Baba Mai Mangoro and co. Apc may find it very difficult to Govern this country especially here in Adamawa.
My advice to both Sen Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako and PDP/Fintiri is that they should find a way of reconciling this incident in order to shame the devils and to continue been together for the benefit of Adamawa people. Politically, it's obvious that Adamawa has three powerful political Houses with most experience politicians' and these are: Waziri Adamawa's house, Nyako's and the government of the day led by Governor Fintiri, even though Gov. Fintiri and Waziri are in the same party and enjoying a very good relationship but both have a different structures politically and if these Houses are in crisis it will directly affect Adamawa people.
In conclusion, those who are singing APC! APC!! Pls. Where is the party? Now that I am talking to you the party has four (4) or more National chairmen while president Mohammadu Buhari is a live and enjoying the party's mandate without saying a word to all crisis that is rocking the party. If you look at the results of 2015 and 2019 elections you Will agree with me that the party is gradually dying and it may be nowhere to be found after Buhari left office because the party is not good in managing crisis and it has no serious leaders that are ready to Wade Into any crisis whether at the National, state or local government level. For that matter, i am using this opportunity to call on all my friends in APC to come and join PDP and to join hands together with Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the development of our dear state.

Democracy has served my people well – Hon Namdas
The member representing Toungo, Ganye, Jada and Mayo Belwa federal constituency in the house of representatives, Hon Abdulrazaq Namdas, has disclosed that democracy especially in the last five years has served his people very well.
The lawmaker who made the disclosure during a chat with some journalists in Yola, ascribed some of the landmark feats attained to be the result of a renewed synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government.
He noted that democracy has benefitted his constituency significantly through the award of a N22.7 billion road network which traverses the four local governments of his constituency, in addition to a litany of other constituency projects.
Namdas noted that the road project has open up socio economic activities and ease of doing business in the area, adding that before the road project, it takes him three hours to access his country home adding that with the road project, the time has been cut off by half.
He debunked insinuations making the rounds that the legislature has become an appendage of the executive arm noting that the legislative arm has been carrying out its functions aimed at ensuring effective checks and balances, good governance and also making robust laws that enhance the welfare of the people.
“The truth is that the people are interested in dividends of democracy. When our people send us to represent them nobody said you should be fighting. But when your people are shortchanged, that is when you fight.
“In the past one year and in the previous years, no one attempted to shortchange me. I was able to be part of a process that produced N22.7 billion road network from Mayo Belwa to Toungo.
“We have passed resolution and told the executive to disengage the service chiefs, is that what you call rubber stamp?
“I can tell you Nigerians are no longer interested in fighting, they are interested in dividends of democracy. Whenever there are issues that have to do with the people, we will surely do the bidding of the people,” he said.
Namdas noted that if not for the renewed synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government, the incursion of the novel COVID-19 pandemic would have completely annihilate Nigeria’s economy.
“I can tell you that we have a very good working relationship with the executive. For the first time in the history of the national assembly, we were able to approve a budget that will start 1st January.
” This is a serious and great achievement. If we have not approved 2020 budget in December 2019, you could imagine what will have happened with COVID-19. We usually approve budget in June and COVID-19 hit us somewhere three months back. There could have been serious crisis,” he said.
Namdas noted that in celebration of the democracy day, he will commission some projects in his constituency including commissioning a transformer in one of his constituency that has been in darkness for 10 months and sundry other projects.

Adamawa PDP Support Group Is A Political Organization That We Formed To Promote And To Defend PDP Led Government In Adamawa And To Work Hand In Hand With Our Great Party And All Its Members Across The State. -------------------------------------------------------------
By: Alhaji Aliyu Bello
If you could recalled, it's about two to three months back we defected from Apc to PDP with all our local government Coordinators execpt Coordinators from YOLA-SOUTH, MAYO-BELWA and MUBI-SOUTH local governments respectievly that were replaced due to the political reasons and we also dropped some in our state excos and brought in vibrants and political strategist.
Before i move further, I must thank these coordinators and our state excos for their support, sacrifices, loyalty and trust on us during our struggles in APC and I will as well appreciate them all for finding me worthy to lead them again. I am nobody but a poor CHAMBA-FULANI from GANYE but I am a man whom believe with transparency, accountability and Justice and above all, I am a man of my word and very focus Politically. Hausa people are saying "Yabon kai jahilci" but pls. allow me to do it for the first time.
You didn't need to ask someone how we led these people at the back either we led with example or not but you can ask yourself why all these coordinators and the state excos have resigned their membership from Apc and followed us to PDP? Mind you, there are people out there who are always against you even if you will breathe on their behalf but the most important thing is to stood firm and lead with example, you will see the light at the end.
Moreover, the above mentioned organization is not just a name like others who claims they have structure but at the end of the day you will only see a chairman or maybe with his secretary and sometimes in politics you will meet with formless political organizations where you will see an individual is always leading and people are blindly following like slaves. We can't lead a fake movement because we are young growing politicians and politically famous across the state.
In conclusion, we are appealing to all the good people of Adamawa state especially our patriotic youths to come and join this movement in order to move Adamawa forward and for those who are sending us messages through WhatsApp, text messages, messenger etc. Complaining that we left them out is not like that because we defected to PDP with all our coordinators and we decided to allow them to continue coordinating but we will make some amendments in our local government excos and ward excos in order to carry everyone along because the victory of PDP is Paramount.
Long Live Adamawa State!
Long Live Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri!!
Long Live People's Democratic Party (PDP)!!!
Long Live Adamawa PDP Support Group!!!!

BRIEF HISTORY OF JADA
Jada town was founded in the year 1898 during the reign of Lamido Zubairu (the 4th Lamido of Adamawa). The founding fathers of Jada sought the permission of Lamido Zubairu to establish a town in his domain, this request of the founding fathers was granted by Lamido Zubairu. They went head to establish a town to be known as Jada.
Five years after the establishment of this young town in 1903, the British Colonialist under the leathership of Lord Frederick Lugard conquered Northern Nigeria but this area (Jada) remained part of the German territory until the First World War between 1914 to 1918 in which the Germans were defeated, with the defeat of the Germans in the First World War, their territories were administered under the United Nations Organization as Trust Territories. The Trust Territories were divided in to two parts; one for the British and the other for France.
With this development, however, Jada being part of the German Territory is then been administered as Trust Territory under the British colonial Government which is administered as part of Adamawa Emirate. Jada remained the headquarters of the former Nassarawo District in the then Adamawa Native Authority, until 1960 when the defunct Chamba Native Authority (Later, Ganye Native Authority) was created as a result of the first Plebiscite held on 7th November 1959, the creation of Chamba N.A necessitated the movement of the Administrative seat to Ganye town.
Despite the movement of the headquarters however, Jada remained the commercial centre of southern part of this state and it continued to play a leading role in this direction. Since then, however, Jada witnessed a lot of political and administrative developments.
With the creation of more states and local governments by the then military administrtaion on 27th August 1991, Jada local government was created, it was curved out of Ganye local government area.
Jada Local Government Area has nine (9) administrative districts, they are; Jada, Mbulo, Leko, Koma, Mayo-kalaye, Nyibango, Ndanaba, Yelli and Mapeo districts. Jada local government is still under Ganye Traditional Council beside the district headquarters. There are other 26 administrative village areas with 328 wards. The local government is inhabited by many ethnic groups, notable among which are the Fulanis, Chambas, mumuye, Hausa, Koma, Verre and many other ethnic groups.

BREAKING: UN moves to create new country out of Nigeria, Cameroon
•The Nigerian communities in the proposed country
By July 10 this year, Nigeria may lose 24 local councils, by way of ceding, to a new country to be known as United Nations Organisation (UNO) State of Cameroon at its borders with la Republique du Cameroun.
The Guardian learnt that the withdrawal of his country’s soldiers by President Paul Biya from the southern part of the planned UNO State of Cameroon has set the stage for the creation of the new state being spearheaded by the UN.
The withdrawal of troops by Biya was formally demanded by the former President of the United Nations General Assembly, Ali A. Treki on May 20, 2020. This was disclosed in a May 26, 2020 letter of the UNO State of Cameroon to Prof. Martins Chia Ateh, the United Nations-appointed workshops coordinator in Cameroon and Nigeria.
Ateh said in the letter: “Greetings and thank you very much for the attached list of those who were detained in the Nkambe prison of Cameroon in August 2008.
“It is only now that the soldiers of la Republique du Cameroun are being withdrawn from the southern part of UNO State of Cameroon.” He said it was a good thing Treki kept the records straight.
On UN’s creation of a new country in Africa, Ateh said: “I should be getting back to you once the United Nations finishes with an official announcement on the existence of UNO State of Cameroon to the international community.”
While conceiving the new state, the former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan invited former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria and Biya of Cameroon to sign documents respecting their countries’ international boundaries.
It was learnt that Obasanjo and Biya signed the documents in March 2003 to cede their twin territories (Northern and Southern Cameroons) to the proposed UNO new country in West and Central Africa.
The UN, according to recent reports, pledged to actualize a new State of Cameroon on July 10, 2020.
Residents of Southern Cameroon were excited over the merger of their land with Northern Cameroon in Nigeria, comprising 24 local government areas in Borno (five), Adamawa (12) and Taraba (seven) states.
The Guardian learnt that the Southern Cameroon residents have since last year during their agitations to separate tagged the UNO State of Cameroon as “Ambazonia.”
In Nigeria, the new country’s landmass extends from Bakassi Peninsula in Cross River State to Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State in the Lake Chad region.
While responding to ceding five local government areas from Borno State, an aide to Governor Babagana Zulum said: “We’ll study the recent unfolding developments on ceding Bama, Gwoza, Dikwa, Kala/Balge and Ngala councils to the UNO State of Cameroon.
“The state government will also be liaising with federal agencies on how to cede the affected local government areas as Obasanjo and Biya had signed documents with the UN to respect their international boundaries.”
According to the UN workshop coordinator and chairman, steering committee, Ateh, the councils to be ceded to UNO State of Cameroon, include Bama, Gwoza, Ngala, Kala/Balge, Dikwa. Others include Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Mayo/Belwa, Toungo, Ganye, Serti, Hong, Jada, Maiha and Jada councils.
It was learnt that before the announcement of the new state, the UN had kept Northern and Southern Cameroons under watch since Obasanjo and Biya signed the documents under the UN treaty.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of UN, Antonio Guterres has commenced the process of sensitization towards the July 10 date of creating the new state for the Anglophone separatists in Cameroon.
According to reports, Guterres has continuously reached out to the UNrepresentative in charge of the territories, Ateh to constantly organize sensitisation workshops on the brief history of the UNO State of Cameroon.
The UN is determined and constantly fingered as an interested party in the arrangement to actualize the new state.
The Nigerian government has been urged to carry out an investigation to establish the facts surrounding the ceding of 24 local government areas to create a new country.
According to Google Map, Nigeria, particularly in the Northeast region with a decade-long Boko Haram insurgency is sandwiched between its territory and Cameroon Republics, with Bakassi Peninsula and Lake Chad located south and northeast of the UNO State of Cameroon.
The new state will have a total landmass of 28, 214 square km with an estimated population of 20 million people. Last year’s 72-hour ultimatum given by the United States (U.S.) to Cameroon to withdraw its troops from la Republique du Cameroons was heeded by President Paul Biya last month.
Before the pullout, neither the U.S nor Cameroon had responded to the expiration date until Treki asked Biya to withdraw his troops.
The Speaker of the Cameroonian National Assembly, Cavage Yeguie Djibrilhad also asked the Cameroonian government to fully implement the new law on decentralization that seeks to grant greater power to local councils and regions.
Consequently, Biya signed the law on the promotion of official language in Cameroon, settlement law of the Republic of Cameroon for2020 financial year, last December.
The bill addresses the creation of assemblies of chiefs, regional assemblies and councils with each of the two territories having elected presidents, vice president, secretaries and public affairs management controllers.

Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has during campaigns promised to run an inclusive government if elected where he promised to everyone irrespective Of his Religion, Tribe or party affiliation will be carried along, and going by this, the governor had on democracy day released appointments of Advisers, senior special assistants, board chairmen, etc. Where he appointed some APC members in order to contribute their quota to the development of our dear state.
Unfortunately, I saw a Press Release from APC Adamawa state chapter yesterday threatening to use Article 9.5 of the APC Constitution to remove all the names of those appointees from the register of the party if they accepted the appointments just because they were considered worthy by Gov. Fintiri and appointed to give their advice postitievly on how to move Adamawa state forward.
Moreover, what APC did was obviously an envious, hatred and unpatriotism.' We have berated their action because it's inhuman. You failed to organise your house, you failed to run a transparent leadership, you failed to empower or employ the party members who stood firm for the party and most of you that have benefitted alot with either CASH or KIND you are the one who failed because you have pocketed the party and sell it to the highest bidders during the party's primaries and today because you were not included in that list of the appointees that's what makes you annoyed and you have decided to go against those who were appointed.
Politically, that Press Release will create more crisis and uncertainty among the die-hard members of the party who worked tirelessly but ended up frustrated and those who are always self-centered. Believe me or not, the SWC who have seated, braistomed and issued the Press Release are the very people who stabbed the party to dead in Adamawa. If you doubt you can go and investigate.
For that matter, i am calling on all APc's whom were appointed as Senior Adviser, senior special assistant and what have you, to ignore their call and move on because even if you Rejected the appointment they will only clap for you and address you as a loyalt member but they have nothing to offer to you as compensation.' And Mind you, your rejection can't affect this government either directly or indirectly, it's rather affect you Politically.
In conclusion, we ought to know that politics is all about interest whether personal or public, and we do not allow someone to mislead us just because of his selfish interest. Once again thank you Gov. Fintiri for appointing our brothers and sisters to work with you. May Allah protect you and guide you to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of Adamawa state.

Adamawa state Gov. Fintiri Attacked over fresh requests for 17bn loan
one of the local government chairman of reformed People’s Democratic Party (r-PDP) in Jada Adamawa, Babajada sarki has faulted the 13% interest rate and 0.5% management fee attached to a fresh loan request of N17 billion by the Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led state government saying it was criminally high.
Babajada who frowned at the habit of leaders going cap in hand to look for loans instead of creating wealth noted that until the people rise to the challenge, and stand against bad leadership, unscrupulous leaders will bury the future generation under the weight of heavy debt.
He called on the people to reject the move of the government for the fresh loan if it refuses to negotiate for lower interest and service rates.
Government must discourage the habit of taking loans and device means of creating wealth for the state thereby assuring the future of the state than burying our future generations under the weight of debts and loans.
” The people of Adamawa State must take keen interest in how they are governed beyond simply going to the polls to cast their votes after every 4-years or else we ran the risk of waking up one day to find out that our common wealth and inheritance have been taken over by our creditors of loans that we have no idea of how and when they were acquired or less still expended. By then it’ll be too late and our children will not forgive us for our docility,” he said.
Sarki noted that as a matter of urgent necessity, “the government must outline in details what these ‘development projects’ are as justification for this loan request and must outline in details how these loans would be serviced and be paid back.”
He called on the government to as a matter of necessity, tabulate the accumulated debt profile of Adamawa State and explain to Adamawa people the basis for the present loan request adding that all loans that are consumptive and not revenue generative must be rejected.
chairman Sarki was reacting to the request of N17 billion loan, governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri forwarded to the state house of assembly Tuesday to enable the government carry out some “critical projects” across the state although the projects were not explicitly explained.

ECOWAS LEADERS APPOINT PRESIDENT BUHARI CHAMPION OF COVID -19 RESPONSE
Presidents of West African countries under the aegis of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government have appointed President Muhammadu Buhari Champion of the COVID-19 response.
The appointment took place Thursday at the Extraordinary ECOWAS Summit on COVID-19 which was held via teleconferencing under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, Mahamadou Issoufou, President of the Republic of Niger.
During the teleconference, President Buhari called on fellow ECOWAS leaders to look beyond the challenges posed by the COVID -19 pandemic and tap into various opportunities that it presents for the betterment of lives in Member States:
“In every challenging situation such as the current one, there are also opportunities. Our region must therefore seek to find those opportunities provided by this gloomy global outlook for its benefit by embarking on the implementation of such critical policies, which before now, will be difficult to accept”
While calling on his colleagues to intensify collaboration in order to save the region from “this deadly pandemic through sharing our experiences and best practices,” President Buhari outlined some measures taken by his government in response to the pandemic. These include:
a. The reduction of interest rates on all applicable Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) interventions from 9 to 5 percent and introduction of a one- year moratorium on CBN intervention facilities;
b. The inauguration of Presidential Task Force to coordinate national efforts to combat the spread of the virus and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in line with the Nigerian Action Plan on Health Security;
c. The provision of relief materials including medical and food supplies as well as conditional cash transfers of N20, 000 each for poor and vulnerable households and ;
d. The establishment of more isolation centers and testing facilities to contain the spread of the virus.
The Nigerian leader also said that unprecedented economic uncertainties, including severe fiscal and foreign exchange constraints, amid a slowdown in global economic growth that most nations are grappling with, have made it imperative for “our sub-region to refocus on accelerating the implementation of our popular vision of ‘ECOWAS of the people’ by adopting dynamic regional policies aimed at providing relief to our citizens.”
“Despite declining revenues, government continues to spend massively on the containment of the virus, medical care for those infected and minimizing impact of the crisis on the poor and vulnerable. This situation puts severe pressure on our finances by increasing our expenditures amid dwindling revenues. This invariably has led to a restructuring and reduction of our budget,” he added.
President Buhari used the occasion to rally other leaders to embrace agriculture, technology and innovation in order to emerge stronger.
“It is imperative that while addressing short term challenges, we should also explore opportunities to promote strong and dynamic agricultural policies that will guarantee food security for our people, creating jobs and reducing poverty in the region. We must innovate and use technology to boost the digital economy and do things differently, but better,” he said.
The Nigerian President affirmed Nigeria’s solidarity with other member states as they battle the virus:
“At a time of global uncertainty such as this, caused by the devastating impact of the COVID-19, let me convey Nigeria's solidarity with all the Member States as we collectively battle to defeat the pandemic. I am greatly saddened by loss of numerous lives and extend my heartfelt condolences to families of those who have lost loved ones throughout the region. I also wish infected victims speedy and full recovery.”
He reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to the well-being and safety of the people in the sub-region and restated support for any initiatives that would curb the spread of the pandemic arising from the Summit.
