We are delighted to inform the general public that container operations have resumed at ECM Terminals Limited Calabar with the arrival of Marguisa Shipping Line’s MV Boreas. The vessel which was making her maiden call to the Port was securely anchored at ECM Terminals' berth 4 at about 13:27Hrs on Monday the 23rd September 2019.
On ground to witness the epoch making event was the management and staff of the terminal, Marguisa Shipping Line, Hull Blyth Nigeria as well as the management and staff of Nigerian Ports Authority Calabar Port. Members of the organized private sector, captains of industries, regulators in the maritime sector as well as prospective users of the liner service were also around to welcome the vessel.
The service is expected to commence with a biweekly call to ECM Terminals Limited for the first few voyages and will thereafter metamorphose into a weekly service. Speaking at the event, the General Manager of ECM Terminals Limited assured everyone to take advantage of the peace and serenity of ECM Terminals Limited and the sacrifices made by all stakeholders to ensure the service is successful.
