JUST IN: GOV. FINTIRI APPROVES ADSU GOVERNING COUNCIL


In an effort to commence the process of having a substantive Vice Chancellor and a substantive Registrar at the Adamawa State University (ADSU) Mubi, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the constitution of a Governing council for the institution.
In a press statement signed by the Director General Media and Communications Government House Yola Solomon Kumangar and released to pressmen, the appointments take immediate effect.
The council consist of Awwal D. Tukur as Chairman, Zira Maigadi and Kashim Njidda.
Others are Mrs. Mary Sawa, Alh. Zubairu Gabdo Toungo, Representatives of the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Higher Education.
It could be recalled that Governor Fintiri while playing host to the management staff of the Adamawa state university who paid him a courtesy visit earlier said that the he is approving the constitution of the governing council so that they can have the instrumentality of the authority to do what is right to the university.
The University has been operating without a substantive Vice Chancellor and Registrar for the past 3 year
